A Sacramento Sikh truck driver was stabbed 17 times in an unprovoked attack at a Wyoming truck stop on Sunday, his attorney says. Government roadside inspections of commercial trucks are declining. With that in mind, a CBS News investigation found more than 2,000 people have been killed since 2019 in accidents involving licensed trucking companies that had no roadside inspection on record before the crash. CBS News senior investigative data journalist Steve Reilly reports. Police say Kristofer Scruggs drove the truck through the store’s entrance around midnight when the store was closed.
